Shinkansen and Tokyo

Knitting a hat for someone I care about at 300km/hour never gets old

Lunch on the Shinkansen

S was a wee bit tired after we went out for dinner in Tokyo

This is a beautiful present from a friend in Tokyo. It is a piece of broken pottery left in the wake of the tsunami make into a beautiful piece of jewelery by women in the local community who have lost so much. Their motto is "beauty in brokeness", which is beautiful and profound - I think I will use this in pastoral counselling sessions when it is appropriate.  https://nozomiproject.com/

This is a hedgehog cafe near our hotel

Yellow Train on the Ginza line

I love this design

Our hotel room is so tiny we can't fit the wheelchair inside

But the small hotel room has an AMAZING view of Mt Fuji

I am very proud of navigating the Tokyo subway on my own, changing trains a few times to meet with my friend Sheliah.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
