Hannah & Jacqui making "swaps" for their big Guide Flamboree in Belgium
We only have 4 more days until we head off for our year long adventure. 2 months in Europe - a week in Italy, a week in Switzerland, 5 days in Paris, 11 days in Belgium (for Hannah & Jacqui) & a week in Norway (for Nikki & Steve), 10 days in Germany & 10 days in England. We don't know where we will go in all these places, but are looking forward to sharing the adventure together. When we leave England, we will be heading to the US for 9 1/2 months, where we will be living in Annapolis (where Steve is going to be doing research at the Naval Academy & Nikki will be getting treatment for her Lyme Disease).
Between now and when we leave we are packing, doing a years worth of maintenance on the house, packing, doing a years worth of organising in our lives, packing, stressing about the US Consulate in Sydney losing Nikki's passport (they couldn't find it last week), and well, packing. Steve also has 120 exams to mark. We hope that we can get some sleep in there too.
We are excited about the trip, but also sad about leaving the people that we love behind in Australia for a year (thank goodness for skype, facebook & email!).
We will update the blog from time to time in order to let you know what we are up to. Feel free to email us & let us know how you are going too (we will be craving news from home).
